Now that the summer is coming to an end and we’re mourning the loss of those lovely warm, sunny days (Boo!), I thought I’d take a moment to look back over some of the various items that we have framed over the last few months…

papercut_peacock

A beautiful but fragile paper cut which we sandwiched between two pieces of magic glass in a deep box frame – this has to be one of my favourite jobs this year!

boxing memorabilia

A large box frame full of boxing memorabilia – I believe our client was going to recess it into a wall in his home.

debbie harry print

A striking print of Debbie Harry by Simon Dixon which was put straight into a frame with a shallow spacer to hold the glass away from the print…

framed botannical print

Laura posing with a large botanical print – this one did prove a challenge due to its size but it was worth it!

mediterranean canvases

A pair of Mediterranean style paintings which were a colourful, warm addition to our workshop that week..

paintings on bark

A set of stunning ‘Mexican bark’ paintings that we float mounted into deep wood mouldings.

painted mountboard

A 1950’s style print (over a metre and a half long) that required a large mount which we painted blue.

lips print

This bold ‘lips’ print was floated in a deep black box frame – this is another of my favourite items!

paintings on bone

A miniature Indian painting on a bone like material. We floated it in a rich blue frame and added a gilt spacer to emphasise the gold. Our client was delighted with the end result.

If you have any memories, or souvenirs from the summer that you would like to preserve in a frame, then we are always delighted to hear from you. As you can see, we will frame almost anything!
