Bespoke Mirrors

Made to measure in a huge choice of mouldings, with plain or bevel edged silvered or distressed ‘antique’ mirror, we can make and install too if required

Extreme character

Typically, we use English character oak, sometimes dubbed ‘catspaw’ due to the shape of the knots, and will often incorporate other ‘imperfections’ such as bark to enhance the look. We machine the planks to optimise the best figuring and burrs, often allowing the outer frame shape to follow the contours of the grain, emphasising the inherent movement of the timber. Judicious hand finishing with translucent coloured resin filler and essential oils to feed the wood ensures we bring out the very best from this beautiful natural material.

Upcycled timber

Made from driftwood, pallets, scaffold boards, recycled window frames etc, we can adapt, machine, cut and join interesting old wood into wonderful new frames. Often for mirrors, but also for artwork too.

A recent and increasingly popular division of our work is making fun distorting mirrors. Typically associated with a fairground or carnival Hall of Mirrors, these provide endless fun for all ages, as the ever changing reflection provides great hilarity.
We make these to order, either as wall mounted items, or double sided free standing. We often supply a set of four or even six with differing mirrors to give a range of distortion effects.
