Mission accomplished.. we are pleased to report the ‘big mirror’ is up! Now securely fixed on the wall of the fifth floor central London flat after an interesting day’s work last Friday. The biggest challenge was to get this extremely large and heavy mirror up to the fifth floor. A specialist removal company were tasked with this part of the operation, and after very little ado, six people hoisted the mirror vertically up the stairway void.
Once in the flat fixing the mirror to the wall was fairly straightforward, as we had already screwed a horizontal aluminium angle for the bottom of the frame to sit on, making sure the screws went into the timber stud work wall structure. The frame was then screwed to the angle at the bottom, and prefixed mirror plates held the top of the frame screwed directly into wall studs.
So our delighted customer can now enjoy the reflected glory of his spectacular London sunsets..
